Curious One

Curious One , sheep, acrylic on canvas. Dimensions 24" x 18" Framed. Artist Jane Ingols I have always gathered inspiration from the natural world. As a teenager the first artwork I sold was a painting of a bird, still a favorite subject. An inherent love of art led to a successful career as a decorative artist working with top design professionals in the southeast. All artistic energy is now focused on fine art painting. I am currently working in acrylic and mixed media on canvas and paper. Aiming to produce paintings with a quiet, tranquil atmosphere I paint in a softly focused style depicting gentle light. Capturing the essence of birds and other animals in my wildlife paintings is foremost. These paintings are given a more contemporary feel by placing them in a portrait like setting with complimentary backgrounds.
